Earlier in the year, Architextural ran the #YourFinishingTouch prize draw on social media, offering a makeover using 3M DI-NOC for one local business. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to provide the lucky winner with a stunning refurbishment, ready in time for reopening post-lockdown. However, inspired by the response to the competition, we decided to go one step further and randomly select a runner-up to also receive an eye-catching makeover for their business.
The runner up was McColl’s Brewery in Evenwood, County Durham. McColl’s produce delicious craft beer and run frequent events at their site, including tours of the brewery and beer tasting sessions.
Architextural, part of the William Smith Group 1832, partnered once again with 3M-endorsed installer, Harry Guy, from Sign Art in Redcar, to deliver this makeover.
Overall, the refurbishment was a massive success and a great example of what can be achieved with relatively little. In total only 14 metres of 3M DI-NOC and 2.5 metres of window film was needed to complete this project, with the result being a much improved, brighter environment for both staff and customers to enjoy.
Danny from McColl’s Brewery said, “The refurb has made a massive difference to the image of the brewery. It looks far more professional, our brand is clearly displayed, and we can’t wait for people to come back in and see the difference. The detailing on the doors and windows adds tons of character to the room. It ties everything together and has completely transformed the space. We’re incredibly pleased with the outcome.”
With over 1,000 patterns in the 3M DI-NOC range, there truly are endless design possibilities, making every surface a potential project.
